If I remember correctly Lewis Collins wanted to go 23 SAS.
Apparently he was at or near the fitness level.

I think that he was told... "Bog off you're a T.V. personality".
A bit too much exposure perhaps...........

Gore.
Mexican bandit, "Badges?! We don't need no stinking badges....."
Major Kong, "Shoot, a fella could have a pretty good weekend in vegas with all that stuff....."
Gore, "The first casualty of war is your underpants....."

The bloke who played Alf Garnet was in the RA at the same time as Milligan and Secombe.
If you can't beat them, arrange to have them beaten.

Here's one...

Trevor Reece-Jones, Diana's bodyguard and only survivor of the 1997 Paris crash. He is ex-Parachute Regiment.

Apparently he is working out in Iraq now.

Sticky, don't you mean Kelly Holmes  Seem to recall she spent time at Aldershot training some of the Para Courses prior to leaving the Army - now that must have hurt......!
No she didn't. She was the PTI for the Duchess of Kent Barracks i.e all the lezzers!!
