No, far from it. She's a cracking girl and a credit to the army. The girls from the Duchess of Bent however were all partial to a munch on the old rug!

Flo, you missed Beastmaster 1st Class (Distingushed Pass with honours!)

Denise Lewis was an Army PTI, imagine getting extra PT off her! "Right lads, keep up with me..." 10 miles later and she stops!
Nigel Benn
Kriss Akabusi (Royal Signals)
Rory Underwood (RAF)
Spike Milligan
Bob Monkhouse
Harry Seycombe
Nigel Benn was on a tour in Tyrone many years ago, while he was in Aughnacloy camp he was on guard all the time.

One night one of our lads who shall remain nameless got shit faced and called him a black **** etc and offered him out. He had go and hide, Nigel did the whole camp loking to kill him.

He was an ex-Fusilier. I met him once. He is a real hard nut, one person who you don't want to mess with. I know his nephew, and his dad (Nige's brother) was in the army with him I think.

He was a boxer in the army as well, then moved to West Ham boxing club after he left where he won the ABA middleweight title in 1986 then turned pro.

A real warrior, never took a backward step in the ring. His fight with Eubank in 1990 and his clash with Gerald McClellan in 1995 are two of the best fights I've ever seen.

Did you see the Gladiator programme with him and Eubank? Nige was being trained by an ex Para, and he just really got into it, whereas Eubank didn't really take to it. Nige would have been suited to the Paras.

Jesus, you lot are colour blind!

The subject is "Celebrity ex-PARAs". Not "Celebrity non-PARAs".

Ever seen "Batman" (the Kim Basinger one)?

Well, there's a scene after the Batbloke goes to a casino after he chats up Basinger at his party. The croupier at the roulette wheel is a PARA. That's my mate "Pat".

He was also in "Full Metal Jacket" - look for a bloke firing 66 LAW from the left shoulder and a bloke getting gunned down as they advance into a built-up area. That's him again. He's been in shedloads of films.

If you watch "Shooting Private Ryan", at the very beginning of the film in the rubbish skip, you'll see one of the soldiers vomit in his helmet. That's Sean Wallis, another PARA. (I hope he wore it afterwards)

I suppose they don't count?

I thought that John Conteh had attempted/done P Coy - if so, I'd not have been pleased to have been the one to face him in the Milling! :o

Uri Geller was an Israeli Para, I heard.

I can bend a spoon, so what?! I also bend knives and forks, too. One day, I'll get the hang of cooking porridge...

When attached with 3 Para a few years back to go to Northern Ireland. Aparently one of the Para lads was the son of one of the Chuckle Brothers so I was told.

At the start of the thread, I mentioned Mark Burnett as an ex 2 Para officer. Someone who served with him said he was actually a Tom in 3 Para during the Falklands war. Still, he has done amazingly in the USA. Apparently he still keeps in touch & likes to know what's going on in the Paras.

He was in the Life Guards Household Cavalry. Served in Kosovo where he was one of the first to enter Pristina. Left after 5 years spent time at the Mounted side of the regiment as well. I remember him but didnt really say much to him.
