Hey fro, well this is my advice do what you will with it but bare in mind I have not even started the application process yet
ok so I think if you feel you want/need to have another crack at it the go for it! Nothing worse than wondering ’’what if….?’’
however what’s your civi life like ?
Job?(worth sticking with, promotional opportunities and such)
Girlfriend?(will she understand and support you?)
Annual income?(can you take a pay cut?)
All of that if you have it nice in civi life can you give it up for the marines?
IF however your civi life is kida so-so then I would say go for it 110%.
anyway that’s my little bit I hope you can work out what you want to do my friend.

I can really sympathise mate. I have always wanted to join the Royal Marines, since I was about12/13. However I met my girlfriend (Now ex) at university and I took an office job for her, I am only 21. I spent about three weeks doing it after university, and told her I hated it. She gave me an ultimatum saying I couldn’t join the Marines, but it's like everyone said, if she loved me she'd want me to be happy, so I am doing it anyway. If it’s something you really want then do it. Or you will only live the rest of your life regretting it.
Mate 21 is probably the perfect age, enough life experience to get you through the tough times, still young enough to make a real career of it, glad your going for it.Jcooke wrote:I can really sympathise mate.
