i find when running in a group or even with just one other person its so much easier. i just latch onto him and use them as a pacemaker. i just say to myself 'your not going to fall within 5 feet behind this guy no matter how hard he runs.' has allowed me to do really well in a few runs in school. Hello all well im back and im pl,eased to say I passed!
Hungover here now and every muscle in my body aches lol particularly the biceps (from the ropes) and calves.
These were my scores:-
3 miler - Pass
Bleep test - 11.6
Press-ups - 45
Sit-ups - 80
Pull Ups - 6
Assault Course - 3:48 (had to to redo rope crossing)
Gym test 2 - Pass
What a four days!
General consensus was that the Corporals/PTI's were firm but fair and pretty much everyone who passed is really keen to start RT.
We had to do "the death slide" but with harness on, and first part of high obstacle which I had to redo due to lack of confidence when "walking the plank".
Don't listen to the bullshit about them binning you if your hesitant, I was given encouragment but they spotted from a mile off that I was unfamiliar with heights.
I found the actual timed Assault Course the toughest as the eagle eyed Corporals had me redoing things (wall climb with rope, tank trap) due to crappy technique, but the point at the time was I didn't moan or sigh just got on with it.
The bleep test is a bit of a git after the three miler with some sprinting as a warm up, but honestly lads you have such a laugh with your oppos down there all the harsh stuff seems justified.
Any questions feel free to ask.

I passed Hardest thing ive ever done but had the best laugh ever. Think about 26 passed and about 10 failed or something like that.
2 people dropped out on the 3 mile warm up
Bottom field is nails they just keep making you run and run and millions of press ups, sit ups, squats and it seems to last forever.
Gym test 2 i found quite easy as its 15 minutes work and you know its the last test so you just give it evrything you got. It was the surprise sprints afterwards that nearly killed me.
My scores were:
3 mile run - Pass
Bleep test - 11.5
Press ups - 44
Sit ups - 72
Pull ups - 3
Assault course - 3.40
Gym test 2 - Pass
Just make sure when youre down there dont go for a burger at dutchies late at night because we got thrashed. Ive never crapped my pants so much in my life.
If theres anything else you need to know just ask.
