colour blindness
hmmm... their are many different views on this.. some people have said that it will affect your applicaaion into the marines..and other people have said that it doesnt matter in the slightest.. HELP!!

Hey mate, I'm colourblind and yes it will affect you in some way.
You will be required to do a wire test as part of the medical examination, it's easy to pass. I am red/green colourblind as are one in eight males, so welcome to the club
I tried joining the NZ Navy once, they couldn't tell me if it would be a problem and I was waiting for an intake date, when I got a letter saying "Bog of you defective piece of humanity" so decided not to persue Navy. Funny thing was my job at the time was.....Junior Seafarer on a Tug towing barges up and down the inner Hauraki Gulf.
I think you'll find if you make it in your choice of SQ's will be limited because of it.
