8 mile speed march? I take it that's only on the All Arms?

At the end of the day, if she passed all her tests, then she's entitled to the lid. In regular training, you get a maximum of three attempts at any test, with remedial training in between each. The reason the AACC isn't 32 weeks is that all on it are already trained soldiers, they just have to do the Commando bits, ie. amphibious training, Foggin Tor, high standard of fitness etc. Passing the All Arms probably isn't as demanding as doing the 32 weeks, but everyone on it's already been through a lot of the crap before. Having said that, Royal is obviously still far superior to any green-lidded Pongo :wink:
