Do you know whether it is with the recruits or with the marines ?

The recruits are doing like a phase 2 of d-day with the royal marines, it says the following in the tv guide,

"24 People continue there D-DAY Training this wekk and are pushed to there limits by the royal marines"

Should be good

I saw it being filmed while I was done there. They had just completed a mud run and were being hosed down by one of the PTI's.

It Should be intresting.

Just finished watching it and I've got to say it was a very interesting programme. I can't believe what wimps some of them were, especially on the river crossing.
Also, that boy is no way 18, looks about 10.
In the river crossing, I can't believe that five 20-somethings whimped out, when 13-year-old boys and girls at my ATC squadron have to do that on their recruit exercise.
The abseiling looked well fun aswell. And respect to the guy that wanted to do the river crossing with his bergan.

I can't wait until I'm doing my training now!!!!!!!!!! (touch wood I get that far)

AM

PS. do you know if they are alternating between Army and Marines? As they are going back to the Army next week.

Just watched it.
Quite interesting and they got to do a lot of fun stuff. Those lads are a bunch of complete f**ing wimps though. In front of a veteran who had done if for their country 60 years earlier, 5 of them refused to go on the cold water swim.
Has anyone who's done RM training ever seen a real recruit fail for wimping out rather than fitness?

The part where they were jumping off cliffs and being stopped by the MLs looked bloody brilliant!

It's cold, it's wet, but it's bloody hilarious at times. Some of them have a decent enough attitude and are giving it a go, but others need reaming.
The attitude and perseverance of the instructors differs from other arms. They will you to use your own self discipline and will power to complete tasks. You are not doing it for them, but for the team and your own self-esteem.
You should talk to somebody who gives a f**k.
