Welcome Delveyboy, as Sticky said, aim for the highest standards in everything.

When you apply for your PRMC you want to be hitting the max scores for Gym Test 1...and then some

Good luck, and train hard!
It's only pain.

The PRMC fitness guide on the homepage will have some helpful (if a little understated) tips for training. Happy with that!

I suggest if you can, train every single day, and eat alot of protien, carbohydrates, as being a commando, it helps if u can pack abit of size, and pull abit of weight.

Also, train in cold places as well, and get your skin used to cold conditions.

I've finally bitten the bullet and joined the gym, a lad I used to play rugby with goes regularly so I figured it'd be far more fun than me on me tod with my weights at home. I'm getting a programme done by one of the trainers specific to the areas I need to work on (press-ups and pull-ups) as well as a general strength-building routine. That 3 days a week plus swimming two days a week should help build me up better than at the moment. Then just gotta keep running by meself. Hopefully have PRMC March time...only a week til the interview now, I can recite the 30 week programme backwards including the overview of the exercises!!
