Will i get in (RMR)

Post by MrG »

Hi I want to join the RMR but i don't know if ill even pass the medical! i occasionally get hayfever, and i was diognosed with slight asthma when i was younger but i have never needed to use medication for it and it has never affected me fitness wise, i regulary keep fit (run/swim/mountain bike/taekwondo) do you think these matters will affect me getting through the medical, and what other things are tested for on the medical? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Tackling the obvious

Why is it that you guys dont appreciate a straight answer to a straight question (and I do mean straight):
and what other things are tested
Not a hundred percent but I think viewtopic.php?t=308&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 will clarify.

PS how do I turn a url address into a nice description - for instance if, just as an example, I wanted to rename the shortcut above

To enter a URL with a nice pretty message, use {url=http://news.bbc.co.uk}The BBC{/url}

Replace the {}'s with []'s to make it work.

MrG, just pop down your local AFCO tell them what you've told us and they'll be able to answer all your questions.

Cheers and good luck

G

Is it something you are going to grow out of ? Some people have allergies that come and go with age - Some don't

Best course of action is to get yourself down to the RN/RM Careers place as advised already.

Incidentally, which unit were you considering joining ?

I would go and take the medical but to save me disapointment i thought i would get your opinions first. I would want to be in my closest detachment which is Cardiff as im a Taff. I was thinking of going back to my doc and getting re-evaluated for asthma as i think i was wrongly diognosed in the first place and try and get it taken off my record. Cheers for the advice though all.
