It would be a case of shave or get out.

Shaving is not just to look pretty it has a functional roll as well. Obviously in training part of it is to get you to follow orders and to engage in a personal admin.

Some guys go down there without a clue. Its just fast tracking you to being responsible for yourself if your not already.

A guy in my troop got shaving rash and had a chit for a bit exempting him from shaving. But other than a medical reason, you will be shaving, even if you don't need to you must shave, they drum it into you good.

Yes egaleeye you WILL be shaving everyday. When I was down there a couple of lads decided not to as they didn't need to either.

The training team knew straight away, probably due to lack of cuts and the had a strip torn off them.

Its just one of those things.

Wasen't having a go mate - sorry if I came across that way.

I was more emphasizing how the training team answered when a guy in my troop asked if he had to shave.

It is a very valid question none the less.

You have to shave because of the NBC sealing with your face, stubble allows air in or something.
