Hello im 17 and a half and applying for the raf. I have 13 B's and have a place in college although i would rather just join the raf and not go to college. I want to be a P.T.I and i think that i could get fit enough although im not too sure. I have also looked at mechanicl aircraft technician can anyone who is doing these two careers please tell me how life in the raf is and what things you need to do to be able to take these careers an advice from anyone would be most welcomed to be honest :lol:

to be a PTI, it is the same with the AST you need to get over 55 i think on the test, then the interview, also you will be required o go upto DCAE cosford for 3 days doing swimming endurance tests etc. then at the end your Specialist interview.

ive been told it isnt easy to get into. but worth it if your physicaly able to do it.

as for the tech im not too sure, didnt hear much about that one

Don't do it, join the corps and look down your nose at the types you just mentioned.
