OK I'll use this thread to say hello as I can't find any recent thread that welcomes new members. What's with the site? Or what's actually with the RN forums? Don't matelots or ex matelots post on MilitaryForums. I've been on a few UK military sites but this one is a bit confusing. Is it for everyone or is it just for those interested in joining the UK forces?
It seems a big site and I ain't trawled through everything yet. I'll keep looking and maybe I can find a kindred spirit.

Thanks Beast (bloody 'orrible name, though :) ).
I'm old RN and it seems that most of your posters are present day RM or those wishing to join. Different Marines to those that I met. Good luck to those that want to join, anyway. Tough job so it's gotta be tough training.
