Who needs the World as your Oyster,When you've had the world as your cap Badge
Best posting Sibu, Borneo during the confrontation with the Indos.
Best food (certainly not from the cookhouse0 Sate, (over there it is dog meat). Hundred miles behind the front lines working in the comcen. Off shift at 8am quick breakfast couple hours sleet downtown. Curfew from 10pm to 7am just time to get back for the next shift. Ginger haired local kids (curtesy of 45 Commando I think) Fort knox, so called 'cause she had 100% gold teeth to pay for her funeral. Very friendly local girls. Anything for a meal. Kids walking around with water buffaflo on a yard of string. Orang-utang swinging through the jungle. Might go back there some day if I can pluck up the courage of the long tedious flight.
Great place

Great place
Royal Signals, the best Corps in the British Army. (AKA the world)
The worst place I was ever lumbered with was Ramillies barracks Aldershot. I was with an RAF squadron performing at the Farnborough air show and the barracks were where we had to sleep, rough as hell, partly demolished and we set the scene when we arrived there by upsetting a junior Army officer. Well, shouting "Hey sonny, do you know where Ramillies barracks is?" was hardly the best start, was it? (Funny badges of rank on those lads).
count your blessings, not mine
