Dear Bean

I loved the life on the ocean wave. Any excuse to chip and paint!

The places you went to you could never go to in civvy street.

Istanbul cages.....Hem, Hem. Alexandria (Cecil Hotel, Once blew £5 (Gibralter band notes. Well the Wog accepted them!) in the casino whilst totaly p*ssed out of me tree). O dear the memories keep flooding back! Hafia (Israel) all the bints were blonde and wanting a bonk! Jamaica. Hmmmm........It was kin belting. Keele (Germany) Nicking French Matelots little red pom poms from their caps and giving them to the local girls for "favours" (this was during the Yaughting festival). USA, Canada, etc, etc...................................God I wish I was still in and 20 years younger!!!!!

Wot I should have done was go LC and binned Sigs. But, Marrying a Naval Nurse does that to you.

Mind you me last 4 years in the mob as a Printer in the dockyard was kin belting!

But, ifen you were seasick at sea. Surely they would have noticed ASAP and taken you off the Frigate? (wrong, we are talking Pusser. delete my last!)

aye steve evans

Not at all Sticky , I think a lot off us wished we had stayed in, I do. Funny how the grass always looks greener on the other side till you been there a while. As I said in post some where, I still sneak up stairs and have a snuggle in the green lid every now and again, sad old gi* I am :)

Steve Oh yes I also had some good runs ashore, US, ect . As for finding out I was sea sick and moving me off ,, I was given a job in the galley :) oh those lovely eegs swimming around in that big grease filled pan at 5 am yumm

The two best drafts I had were HMS Neptune,, being paid to live ashore in Glasgow and Eastney.

Apparently theres going to be a purpose built training facility at Bovington, but how long that will take to be ready is anyones guess! :o

Where is Bovington by the way??? :-?

In the meantime, while he's stuck at Bordon (Boredom??) I'll just have to try and make things as pleasant as I can for him whenever I get the opportunity!
