Gordon Brown has proposed that Remembrance Sunday should be developed into a national day of patriotism to celebrate British history, achievements and culture.
Is this the Labour Parties idea of getting rid of the Remembrance Day Services and to forget the troops that died for their country
sounds like a severe own goal to me. After consideration and reflection I have come up with a statement of my own: Dear Mr Brown, f@#k off you twat, get your hand off rememberance day!!
I heard something similar after Rememberance day 2004. Talk was of making it a day that doesn't solely honour service personnel, but all public sector workers and civil servants!
While i agree that we should remember personnel from the emergency services etc killed in the line of duty, whats wrong with another day?
After all these politicians are told about the sacrifices made by service men/women for their country they still can't bear the thought of these heroes having their own remembrance once a year, twats.
Now I am old enough to Remember the Bank holiday we used to have for Empire Day, and I believe the Civil Servants still get paid for this day even if it is not taken as leave, but it could have been Incorporated into their pay scales some years back.
Ahoy there!
Ironic that Gordon Brown should be preaching patriotism after his party leader and the rest of the treasonous scum have done their best to destroy Britain, British values and berate anybody who hinted at patriotism. Hilarious!
