Failure's the way to go, just make sure you schedule in those rest days. In regards to the Assault Engineer position, you have to join the RM and pass training before being able to specialise in it. Don't know if you get posted to 59 after it though, or if thats all arms?

As your shoulders are extended too far behind a normal range of movement, or you bend your neck foreward ruining your neutral spine position. A shoulder press is not a very inclined bench press
If you want to train your back, train it with a different exercise.

I would cut the behind the neck version out. Theres no benefit to doing it behind the head, more chance of injuring your shoulders. Shoulder press goes to the top of your chest, always.

You could start off with a basic all body work out in the gym (12-15 reps), just change it every few weeks if you get bored easily or stop progressing. CV wise, 3x a week 20+ mins, eventually putting in a couple of light/recovery swimming sessions in between. Just to start you off.

When you're in the gym, do an all over body resistance workout (endurance). Muscles burn calories and in the long run is better than cardio for burning fat. Cardio 3-5 times a week for 20+ mins with resistance training 2-3 times per week (12-15 reps to failure and 2-3 sets per exercise with the sess...

Post workout meal should be something thats high GI (glycaemic index). Glucose/maltose absorbs into the blood the fastest (100), whereas fructose (ie fruit) is only a 20 on the scale, sugar is only moderate (59). A lot of bodybuilders put a squirt of honey into their protein shakes for carbs as that...

Kidneys? Im sure thats what I said  (although liver plays a part in using protein) Excess protein (as in very excessive) means the kidneys are working harder than they should, which is why it is believed that it can cause problems. Excess protein is also converted into fatty acids and is burned...

Eating the right food spread over 5 or 6 meals a day would be a better option than protein shakes, which aren't proven to work (it's mostly self funded research), but aren't proven not to, and I think they have helped me 8) . But, if you have to... You can only take in about 40g of protein in one go...

Yep they normally get given to you after a few weeks, but if you want it earlier or the training team forget, you can go to the movements office and get one done, takes 5 mins and you get a third off.
