Rest, running through it will make the pain worse. You might have started off doing too much too soon so just progress into training.

Some gym sessions are sprints/rope climbing/pushups/situps/pullups. The weights one he was talking about are strength circuits which they also do. I went into a pub with 2 others and was told to leave, even if you went in by yourself to meet up with others they would kick you out. Recruits are easy to spot.
