You are only seeing what you want to see. You do not get selected you request to go on a snipers course - if you then get a reccomendation to proceed you will have the opportunity to go forward for the training which you will have to pass. Don't do anything stupid is the way to do it. There are rules to work to, and your boyfriend will have signed a binding contract which legal. Defiant... To Pass out of training you have to pass shooting proficiency which is quite high - and about 50% pass (or did when I went through) as marksmen.
