WOII Tom Shenton

WO2 Tom Shenton passed away a week ago. He was a very good friend and a real gentleman. He served in the Corps for 22 years, mostly with the SBS. He will be very sadly missed by all his friends and all who knew him.. His funeral was at Christchurch Priory last Wednesday and was extremely well attend...

Hi Loz!! It was lovely to hear from Jayne and Steve and although they never actually said so, I sort of guessed that you were the other person getting pissed!! I didn't really hear about this little get together because I don't log on too often, as the membership seems to have changed and the "...

Steve, That is the most illuminating post that I have read from you. Of course parents are to blame for kids behaviour. A smack at two years old, saves a lot of hassle at seven years old!! Haviving said that, - National Service, as mentioned in a former thread, would do some good. If you talk to Nat...

Hi Jayne!!

Long time - No talk!

40!! No age at all. You will always be the Jayne I met a couple of years ago!!

Don't worry about growing old gracefully.
Just grow older disgracefully. Much more fun!!"

Look forward to meeting you again sometime.

Regards to Steve,

Love,

It's a pity that these former Admirals and Generals and Air Force Marshalls, - did not speak up while they were in office. Or were they more concerned about their pension!! General Richard Dannat seems to be the only one speaking up while he is serving!! If I were him, I would watch my back!! Sneaky

I was at RMR Tyne while it was still in Westgate Road. I know it is now down by the Quay - but why not just ring up and ask to talk to one of the Permanent Staff Instructors - (PSI's), who are all regular Royal Marines. In fact, go one further and ask for an appointment and talk to them "face t...

JamieH. I'm ex RM (1995-2001) currently training / prep for G Sqn Admin weekend in Nov 07 and Assessment weekend in Feb 08. If you joined in 1995 - and assuming that you were 18 years old at joining that would make you about 30 now. Do you really think that you can make it through SF training? I ass...

This is the first I have heard of this.
I would have thought that the Olympic Committee would have loved the Red Arrows to fly.

Can you please confirm your source, that they have been banned?

I for one do not believe it.

I for one would welcome "Doc" back. I don't know where he has been or why he hasn't posted - but at least he calls a spade a spade.!!

Mind you, if I decide to "slag him off", for whatever reason, I reserve the right to keep my head on my shoulders!!!

The original post was about a guy was about 18 stone and wanted to be in the Forces. There is only one answer to that - and it is to stop eating McDonalds and lose weight. My gripe is that "fodd" is listed as a moderator.!! Has this site degenerated to such a level, that someone who cannot...
