Yeah I had that down the stances at CTCRM. I used to get my ass kicked on the flat runs but I'd cane most of the troop on hill sprints from a standing start.

Your on the right track mate (no pun intended!) It's a cliche on here but true, the main thing is the mental aptitude to say "Yes Corporal"! and just do it. The training teams know when you've had enough and have given 100%. For example I distinctly remember a rather unfit lad on my PRMC b...

I agree, worse thing you could do is turn up looking like a bodybuilder but trust me mate PRMC and the early part of RT is very much sprint based varying in length from 20-800m. Don't do what I did and train like a runner for CTCRM. (30-40 miles a week, 2 speed session etc). Short intense sprints wo...

If this has been happening for a few months, it ain't going. I had the same, by the end of a run my entire lower legs were tingling and numb. Went to see a podiatrist, had orthotics made and bobs your uncle no more pain to this day, I can jump, skip, sprint you name it not even so much as a tweak. B...

If squats didn't help sprinting then 100m runners wouldn't do them. They do.

For the PRMC as long as your CV endurance was in check they would benefit you. That assault course drains your legs and a bit of plyometrics would help definatley.

Yeah couldn't agree more mate. Weeks 1 through to about 9 would seem a lot easier knowing whats coming up. Hunters Moon is just a dangle! :p Those IMF circuits don't half get you fit though, I was quite sceptical as I'd been quite into distance running but jesus you zip all over the place on leave! ...

Arite mate. If I do I'll be looking at starting the ball rolling at the end of summer, but I want to be at half decent PRMC level by then. So the process will be as quick as possible. I've got a stable girlfriend and no job so I just start cracking phys shouldn't i? I don't think id have problems wi...

Oh mate this is a tough one. I left training at week 15 back in 2006(wrapped over a girl basically) and there isn't barely one day when I don't think back to CTCRM with fond (rose tinted!) memories. I am seriously thinking of rejoining myself. You are about to make a serious life decision so you nee...
