I am about 6ft 2 and I weigh 93kg and I don't have much fat on me. It all depends on your build. With a lighter build you may beat me on pullups and press ups but when it comes to a load carry over distance I may have the edge
Power to Weight is a more important ratio in my books.

Re: heavy drinking sessions
I got a huge shock today when I went out for a run! I’m just back from a weeks holiday and I think the heavy drinking sessions have took a toll on my body! I only ran half the distance that I normally do in double the time!! And I'm knackered :o Don't worry, this will only be temporary, a few early...

Protein Supplements
A couple of years back I decided I wanted a bit more muscle and looked into these. I started to use the N-Large 2 supplement along with some creatine now and again. The idea was extra weight via muscle, My start weight was around 14.6 stones, I exercised for a few weeks and was down to about 14.2 st...

Re: My Pull Ups are disgusting!
They are over hand grip, but my form is just horrible...i used to be better at them, i used to be able to go lower, but now i am struggling to do do them. Don't get disheartened with pull-ups, it is just the luck of your build when you start. I weigh near 15 stones and could only do 2 pullups when ...

Re: take it steady
You passed, it was well below 10.45 so who gives a damn about the time! Have a beer and focus on the PRMC. The marines really are a few good men, I am sure with your determination you will be one of them!Oz wrote:I switched to 17km to late in the run and thats why i only got 9min .

Re: change of mind.... again
My reasons for joining up are: Patriotism, Fitness, respect for the corps and a medium term career change. My family thought I was mad leaving a 30k per year job to go to uni, and think I am even madder joining the Marines, but you just have to do what you think is best for you in life. Most of the...

Re: change of mind.... again
Some of you may think i am a bit of a tosser for this, but here goes, i've changed my mind again and want to join as a recruit, i cant really explain this choice as it just seems instinctive. And finally i dont think im making a mistake but everyone i know who does not understand my interest in the...
