Simple maths, for a 10 min time times your distance by 6 ( 60 / 10 ) so looking at 14.4 KMH for a 10 min time. For a 9:30 time you will be needing 60/9.5 - 6.23 ( and a load more digits but for ease use 6.23 ) so looking at 14.952 but aim for 15 KMH to counter any lost digits. As a lot of members wi...

While reading earlier posts a thought occurred to me, do you wear your own shoes at ADSC or do you have to use standard issue boots? I was thinking of getting some specialist running shoes for road running but if you use boots when being tested it wont be worth it. same goes about them special inser...

I had something like 60 jobs open to me but after saying a def no to some, like medical for example, I have ended up with 13 that my recruiter printed off and I am now trying to remove them from the list till I have 3-4 left. I would love to go in as para actually, I enjoy the high thrill things in ...

Job choices.

I had my BARB test today and scored 82 ( my recruiter said that it was a really good score) but the huge amount of job choices that are now available to me is really confusing me now. I picked out the best 15 I liked the look of ( some of them I had no idea could be done as a job in the army before ...

Funnily enough I was reading a TA newspaper in my college today and it had an article in it about them closing down the last TA helicopters. I will check tomorrow for you on the details but I know they used to train TA soldiers in helicopters.

Purely from a speculative position here, please dont take anything from this post as hard fact. If they are having a recruitment crisis they still wont make the selection process or training any less vigorous or "selective" just to make up numbers. They are still an elite unit ( I probably...

I would also be interested in exact times and fitness scores needed for RLC, as I intend to join as an ammunition technician. MSI64 I think you would be the best suited to inform me?

As you say it is only when your nervous, a lot of people have speach impediments when they are nervous however some just keep going errr whereas you unfortunately stammer/stutter. The thing to do is get less nervous about the icebreaker ( that is probably the most nervewracking speaking part) by pra...

I for one would feel a greater pride wearing a medal I distinctly earned and deserved than one I had been given for just staying in the forces along with all others. It would then become a decorative part of my uniform rather than a badge of honor I wore with pride.

I have actually been there, it's quite good and interesting. We went there as with my college but it had no link to what we was studying but a good day all the same. Oh and the swing ride outside in the kids playground is fun!

your best idea atm is to go and speak to your local AFCO, or even ring them up. They can help you with any questions you may have and be able to give you some info to help you decide.

have you only just started doing exercise? do you drink enough fluids and are you of excessive age? could be a number of things really, but its not a real problem as such unless it causes you discomfort or pain. if it does or starts to you should see your doc, if not then try making tunes with it?
