But then, how much is too much for you eh? :D This is one of those that is completely down to the individual I guess. As for me - pre season is on, so there'll be a lot of whey coming in. Screw the tubs, 5kg bags it is!

There's no need to be paying for you evaluation. Go to your local library and find some books on psychometric testing. Studying through these will help you, and it won't cost you.

Wholley - no worries, my post wasn't in reply to yours at all, I see it was about the current situation.

It's good to see this post has gone from unpleasant ranting to some very good suggestions. A lot to think about there Scott, good luck with your decisions.

There is no reason not go to a uni further away though. Many are ideally situated for travelling to an RMR unit - I know Glasgow is one, the HQ of RMR Scotland and has some great facilities, and is, at the most, 30 minutes from halls. I'm not trying to say choose Glasgow at all, just that you can ge...

A friend and I drove up the country roads near to the base of it. It's not that tough a walk on it's own (we did it after dark, around midnight or so), unless the weather closes in, which it didn't for us. However, the region itself makes for some great walking. Trains - I'd imagine others will answ...

Scott, it could be an idea to make one or two of your six choices a university on the other side of the country (I'm from Kent, go to Glasgow, on a year abroad in Melbourne). One of the good things about university is becoming more self-dependent and more responsible. Living much further from home, ...

For Harry Hackedoff and any others living in Australia - have fun ripping into the Ozzies after the match? I got some great abusive text messages sent through straight away from my mates. Also, how awful is that Bundy rum advert? It's that fat old lady with her face pressed up to the car window that...

Again in my opinion, if you're strengthening your back by doing that, then by your reasoning it is possible that you'd be able to do more pull ups than you actually manage, because you can't hold on, having lost/not gained strength in your grip. Part of hanging from a bar and pulling yourself up on ...

I think grip strength would be nearly as important as the strength of your back etc. I'd hazard a guess that the majority of people can max out their pull ups, seriously not be able to do one more, but still be able to grip the bar for a little bit longer. To reverse that would make no sense. And ha...

Blackwater

I saw this extract on the Times website yesterday. It's an interesting read, I'll probably order the book after my exams are done. Anyway, I thought I'd share the extract - can't review the book I'm afraid. http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/arts_and_entertainment/books/book_extracts/article...

The France game was pretty weird for me. It kicked off at 5am here, by which point I was pretty mangled. I fell asleep just before half time, NZ winning. Woke up about 6 hours later to hear the score completely reversed! It was quite a shock. Bad luck on the Fijians, that was an interesting game.

The negative pull ups (where you jump then slowly lower yourself) are good if you can't manage any pull ups yet. This has been said many times I'm sure, but the best way to get better at them is to keep doing them. So when you're out on your runs, if you see anything you could hang from, do some the...

I haven't actually seen this new series. All of these reviews help a bit, makes it seem like I'm not missing much. Obviously I'll still check it out when I get the chance. I also remember the series COMMANDO, I must have only been 13 or 14 when it was aired but it was a good series I remember. It ac...

I was exhausted by the end of that game, it was tense. Agreed, it wasn't Wilkinson that won that game. I was watching it in this "Irish" bar in some country town (Echuca) out here in Australia, end of season trip with my club here. Only three of us were English, so come the final whistle t...

Stokey, I thought the same thing. If we're right, then that's a ridiculous statement! Talking of advantages over other sportsman - England vs South Africa in the RWC - did you see the speed of Habana, especially on the high balls?! I almost couldn't believe how fast he was moving down the field! Ver...
