It's like this, I was just trying to make a comparison, I could have picked anyone really but the infamous Burka clad woman description popped in my head as a standard bearer for political correctness.

What the ??? Am i missing something here? The way i read it, GGHT simply made a comment on the state of our countries mad drive to be politically correct. Is this not the case? Whilst stereotyping Muslims is totally wrong i do not believe this is what he was doing. Was he not making the point that ...

“Makes you wonder what would have happened if a woman in a bhurka rocked up, probably roll put the red carpet.” Is highly unfair, unjustified and offensive Untrue though? And that is your opinion, I am entitled to mine. I find the treatment of the soldier unfair, unjustified and offensive. Yes the ...

Well from Sully's post I wasn't aware that this was "traditional" so to speak so my first comment has been proved wayward. In answer to wether it is a cheap, racist and sexist comment, well if you are of the ZaNuLabour school of thought where anything resembling patriotism is labelled &quo...

Can someone please explain the significance of the 'woman in a bhurka' contribution to this thread? It's quite simple Flighty. IMO Whilst a solider who had been injured in Afghanistan fighting for this country has been refused a bed, due to the heavy chains of political correctness I bet if a perso...

Aye. Bye bye hotel anyway, good riddance. Makes you wonder what would have happened if a woman in a bhurka rocked up, probably roll put the red carpet.

They'll try and blame it on the receptionist now.

I can really sympathise mate. I have always wanted to join the Royal Marines, since I was about12/13. However I met my girlfriend (Now ex) at university and I took an office job for her, I am only 21. I spent about three weeks doing it after university, and told her I hated it. She gave me an ultim...

PRMC is very sprint orientated, but you need to balance it with endurance for the bottom field. 7 weeks you can smash it if your reasonably fit now.

Its because its a charity thing. It is quite dear that though, I think when I did it I paid £60 2 months before the event. Sounds like they may be cashing in on its rising popularity. Of course they are, they'll soon get a reality check hopefully though. You can enter most road races for mere penni...

Weirdly enough I sometimes found treadmills tougher at the alledged same pace due to the lack of air flowing over you, I'm one of those people that dehydrates really quick.

For the lads panicking over PJFT, if your comfortably in range then the challenge on the day will see you through, no worries.

Thank you 'GGHT', that’s brilliant. I really appreciate all the advice given on here, but for me that is really interesting. Its something I have been trying to find out for a while now. The 'look at life course' was really good, but I know it was just a mock up and also didn’t cover certain aspect...

Some squats wouldn't help and neither would some back exercises to help with the rope climbs.
