If you had to quit RM cos of med you might have difficulty getting into Irish defence forces as their med is seriously a pain in the ass strict.

From what I have gathered about the ARW is that you need to be a JNCO at least, have shit hot records and be reccommended by your CO. Secondly you only serve a 4 year term before rejoining your original unit so to disperse your skills. They are certainly considered as elite forces well above standar...

Before: 54 Pressups 95 Situps 8 Pullups 3 mi in 18:30 In the Gym test 1 they said as many pressups in 1 minute only so didn't have the two mins to rest after 40. Had to bang out the max without any rest. I did so crap on the situps because my head was not touching the mat when I was in down position...

Basically the pressup punishment thing is doing various forms of ecercises in the pressup position. Finished the course but didn't pass unfortunately. :oops: Got 44 Pressups, 58 situps (v poor, ouch), 6 pull ups. 10.7 on the bleep. Bottom field warmup was v hard. Thanks for the help. Yes I have my plane ticket already.

In Eire at the moment so will have to wing it tomorrow morning with the train times and warrant.

Got my PRMC on Tuesday and have my plane and train warrant. Thing is they recommended taking the air/rail coach link from Heathrow to Reading and then the train to Exeter and another to Lympstone. Was told I would have to give 4 weeks notice prior to leaving the country the only exception is the first long weekend break when as soon as you arrive at foundation make it known. After a good few months you don't have to give notice anylonger.
