It depends on the wind and you own abillity to access it.
The other difference is, you could have 80/100lbs of kit hanging from you. :)

When I did my course there was two WRAF in the same chamber, they were allowed to spew up round the back out of sight. :)

You should expect to get a lung full of CS gas so you know the effect it has.
It should also give you confidence in your respirator, and you will make sure you have fitted it properly.
There is also much more dangerous stuff about than CS gas and you are learning how to deal with these.

Before HUPRA there was a story about one of the toms ( I think he was TA) having a "Hang Up".
The dispatchers manage to haul him and coundn't get him to let go of his static line which he had been hanging onto for dear life :D
