The recruiting ads shown at the cinema are pretty good. Showing a recruit getting stuck in the water tunnel then a scary man on a boat.

Finished it a couple of weeks ago. First half is about him joining the Corps and going through the ML course, the second half about him escaping from the Glasgow of West Africa. Bloody good book. Highly recommend it.

45 Commando Group - Op Corporate Reunion

Had a cracking weekend in Arboath. Met some fascinating characters :drinking:

I like to give a big thanks to all the people who gave me phots and told me some interesting stories (I'm told they're all true  ). My mother and I are very grateful.

Hope to see you all at the 25th reunion!

Does the Corps get trained on/familiarised with the Warrior armoured fighting vehicle?

A Pongo was talking to me today about his days driving a Warrior in Bosnia. He loved it! So out of curiosity I wondered if the RM's use them.

Cheers for the advice. I used to run in the mornings before because it fits in best with my schedule. I stopped once I was told that it was bad for me. But after some more hunting for the truth I found out from more people that it's not actually that bad so I've started again. faddius, I'll take you...

Running Question

I've been given two opposing pieces of advice about running training (both by Pongo PTI's). One said that you shouldn't run in the morning or within four hours of waking up. The other said that first thing in the morning is the best time to run as the body's metabolism is firing alone from sleep. An...

As long as you're not one of those people that you meet in pubs who say "I've done undercover things but I can't tell you about them"

(or one of the ones that take pictures of themselves in photo booths wearing a sand beret)
