Like you say, Barry. Depends whether they are going to contribute. The UK is running out of youngsters and we'll need someone to support all us oldies in the future. There'll soon be more over 65's than under 16's. My daughter's got 3 toddlers under 5 and wants more?!? But she can't do it all on her...

The Motive for Joining the Corps
Now that there are no postings to Singers, Aden or Malta (Oh happy, happy days!) what's the motivation for guys to join these days? A nephew of mine is thinking of joining and I've given him all the guff about "being the best". But I think he's looking for more idea of what's happenin' out...

Is drownproofing still taught in the Corps?
Does anyone have any examples of it being used successfully, for real? The only time I tried it in "open sea" was during my diving course in a wind-swept Johore Bahru strait. All it did for me was prove I'd drown if I had to use it in anger.
