I dont think the energy taken from alcohol is beneficial, but i'm sure the calorific intake is similar to that of other food, but don't take my word for it. It might be converted to fat, especially since not many people drink and then do exercises anytime soon. Whey protein is useful, but it's not g...

By the way, i'm not saying you should put weight on.

But me you see, i'm trying to get a figure to compliment my new baywatch-style swimming trunks in time for the summer. Different priorities you see, different priorities....

I've been trying tp put on weight recently myself, but at the same time I've tried my best not to add extra fat. Your weight is largely determined by your genetic makeup, so if you're naturally thing then adding weight isn't necessary. When I first started fitness training proper, I gained a lot of ...

I'd recommend Cameron Spences two books anyday: Sabre Squadron - about a mobile troop on a Scud-hunting mission during the Gulf War All Neccessary Measures - based upon his experiences in the former Yugoslavia - an extremely good book The best book i've read so far about the Royal Marines has got to...

cheers, good to finally find out what happens in gym test 2 (missed it). I think the assault course is done before the thrashing now and the run isnt done as a group on the way back now. Good luck with your next prmc. Cheers mate I should point out that Gym test 2 may not be the same for every PRMC.

Embarrisingly, I actually pulled out during the three mile run. I wouldn't blame my fitness for that, but the fact that is was over 90 degrees faranheit on the day and I wasn't used to running in the heat. OK, most of the other lads there had no problems running in the heat, but myself and a couple ...

Hello there

Hello, I used to write on these forums a couple of years back, attempted a PRMC, failed, then got lazy and lost a shit load of muscle. Naturally, I took my skinny arse to uni so I could get pissed, laid and sleep on a regular basis. Being the skinny git I was, I only achieved two out of those three ...

I didn't add anything about the swimming test because, well, I forgot. Anyway, you just climb to the top of the diving board and jump as soon as the PTi tells you to (don't f@#k hesitate just do it, and don't try and get yourself to the back of the f@#k queue because your affraid of hights - first i...

PRMC - What to expect (probably)

I did my first PRMC in about May 2005, and failed miserably. Anyway, I used to use these forums quite a bit before I attempted one. the info was valuable, and I am going to apply again over easter and hopefully get myself onto a PRMC during Summer. I wrote this the day I got back from Lympstone, wit...
