Hi there. You should get down to your local AFCO and ask them for all the info you need, free DVD's and training suggestions as well.

Your local AFCO is really the best starting point, then come here and ask something more specific. All the best m8.

Better for effort I would think

The PRMC challenges are still the same m8. I would've thought you needed to keep up your training for best effort 3 or 4 mile runs either way, whatever's happening with the PJFT in the mean time. I'm glad they've finally brought it into line with the 3 miler on the actual PRMC, it sort of makes sens...
