Armourers seemed to be blokes at the end of their time like the legendary Alfie Bass who was well after his time but definitely someone for nods to look up to at CTC - I'm afraid I don't know much about the branch though. Hmmm, must be a different Alfie Bass to the one that I know. I just know the ...

Okay I will try to be as brief as possible on this one :( When you say Commando Dagger I assume that you are looking at a black dagger on a green square background - possibly on a combat jacket. These are worn by all Royal Marines serving with 3rd Cdo Bge (only). Ranks serving outside the Brigade do...

Goodbye Condor??
Hi All,
I have heard a buzz (and I stress that I do think it is a buzz) that the 45th Northern Penal Colony is relocating south - perminantly.
Anybody else heard about this?

Harry By the way, did that Capt Pip Whatsername, who eventually completed the All Arms Commando Course ever serve in 3 Commando Brigade as this was the purpose of completing the course? :-? Derek Oh God, not that one again :x Try the search button please. I do remember seeing a phot of Charlie Boy ...

El Prez - I totally agree with you (you weren't E Coy were you?? :x ) But thats not what I was on about. If you see an ad on the telly for the Royal Navy you see a Frigate in the Windies. An ad for the RAF would show a Tornado doing Mach 19 over some sheep in Scotland at about 30ft. There is nothing...

We're getting slightly off topic here but as you asked...... I have long thought that all the money spent on these recruiting adverts is wasted. They're just too subtle. They all seem centered on training and on CTC. Well here's a shock for all those that pray in the direction of the Endurance cours...

Easy to slag off people who cannot answer back, the fleet street rags have been doing it for years. Owdun  For those who don't regognise humour when they see it, I was at CTC when he was there and IMHO he actually had it harder than everyone else, because he was under everyone's beedy eye all...
