Being the 'best' soldier isnt about how fit you are or what muscles are developed more than others, maybe being the best athlete is what this entails but not the best soldier. Training to be the best soldier involves alot more important things like fire and manuever and such like. I mean at the end ...

Well there is, but then there is the hassle that goes with it, and coupled with my lazyness i dont think it would be possible.

What sort of fitness is required for combat? I'm talking, is it more important to be able to sprint 1.5miles or be able to hike out 7.5miles in a reasonable time? Are hard abs a desire for the front-line officer? Is a powerhouse of an upper-body desireable for anyone in the armed forces? etc. etc. ...

Good luck guys, remember dont worry yourself out about it, and also apart form gym test one which oyu need to get scores for everything else just requires you to keep going and finish each part.

Ive heard of people going back to Lympstone to do Officer training after a few years of already being a Royal marine. But it just depends if you can be bothered doing training all again (This is the trigger)

Yeh i dont think you have nothing to worry about on that subject, there was a thrity two year old on my prmc. I think he was an ex engineer so that just shows that they do look for experienced and switched on people.
