Re: PRMC changed?
I know how you feel mate, in civvy life we wake up to work and train but in the forces your work is training! I feel like my job is getting in the way of training at the moment but I need to keep working to pay the bills.. If it’s going to be a 6 month wait after PRMC I'm going to be pulling my hair...

Re: PRMC changed?
Haha that’s a good start  Early next year! That’s a long wait, was that you're choice or is the training troops full the now? I was hoping to start basic by February. That’s if I avoid injury and fly through the tests (fingers crossed). I’m definitely not looking forward to doing the endurance ...

Re: PRMC changed?
Thanks for the reply, congratulations on passing PRMC mate how’s the boots? I've not got a date yet and probably won’t be doing a PRMC until December/January. I re-applied 5 weeks ago.. Im still waiting for a date for the written recruit tests! The office said it would take a couple months because I...

Re: Cash Upon Starting Training?
True.. you're Lieutenant will give you cash in hand to buy some kit and food, can’t remember how much though I’m sure it’s a week’s wages that will be deducted from your pay at the end of the month.

Re: Medical Condition - Could I still join?
Im with ofens on this one.. This cant be a serious question? I was going to post a reply but thought I would see how it played out. As Tab said theres thousands of young 'fit' men wanting to join our armed forces, the recruiters are able to pick and choose the best. What is this condition called tha...

Re: Warfighting Regiments
TALO.. Hmm, Is it Tactical Air Landing Operations? If it is; Im pretty sure most regiments/battallions do this just now in Afghanistan, or so I was told while in basic training for the Royal Regiment of Scotland. We had a lot of recruits wanting to join 5 Scots because they were attached to 16 Air A...

Re: Warfighting Regiments
I spent many years with the 2nd battalion PWRR and i can assure you that we as a battalion carried out TALO whilst we were based at caterbury before our NI posting. This thread is nearly 7 years old mate, I dont think much of they members are still around. Edit.. I dont think 'any' of them are stil...

PRMC changed?
I've been reading up on the PRMC on the internet to see if anything’s changed since I last attempted it, and from what I can make out it seems that gym test 2 has been scrapped and 2.5 miles of the endurance course has been added instead? Anybody heard anything about this or have I been reading abou...

Re-applied for the royal marines
Ok lads, I first applied for the royal marines when I was just 16/17 years old. 5 years on, a lot more mature-er, fitter, stronger mentally and physically me I have finally applied again. Not to mention phase 1 training in the British Infantry and a few civilian jobs in between! I remember when I fi...

Munki, I’ve been reading this post with some interest. Are you able to tell us how you managed to get this sorted out? Just out of curiosity :) It would also be helpful for anyone else looking to do the same thing. Have a good trip mate it sounds like a great get away with the misses! Let’s hope you...

Re: Joining marines and have some questions?
As far as I know the forearm should be fine as long as its not offensive etc.. And yes as long as it doesnt show on parade, places like your hand and neck are not allowed. Im sure if you search in google you will find an answer on an official site.

Re: 17 looking for some bulking
I've got some personal experience here.. When I first applied many moons ago I only weighed 58 kgs.. My careers advisor (a matelot) told me to use creatine to put on weight. Now the special phrase there is 'put on weight'. To me, bulking up and putting on weight are two different things. You really ...

I had to pick the beef and tomato, with a few added extras of my own; packet of spicey doritos, chopped up pepperami, jalipinos and a little pepper etc
Bombay bad boy's good as well though! But again I add jalipinos and crisps! haha
