As promised an update on how the training goes. 1st lap 1.5 mile started at a reasonable pace and after less than half a mile picked the pace up to a fast level. Unfortunately my stopwatch had screwed up and reset to 0. 2nd lap i started it off and managed to finish in 11m 02s This was a lot slower ...

It's a bit of 50/50 really when it comes to it. Theres a timed run where you might not necessarily feel like you've pushed yourself fully or you can bring down the minute per mile for a certain distance which will automatically push you harder to obtain it. Paraprep, i can see where your coming from...

Some very good ideas here. With that recommendation paraprep where do you think is the best place to slot that type of training in. Powerleague is fast short sprints with very small gaps resting. Granted this isn't the same as a full out air gasping session but believe me it does push my cardio. Wou...

I did ADSC last year twice and missed run time for paras by 6 seconds. So i've changed my situation, moved close to work and live in more of a hilly area which should be good for training. I'm going to give it another crack this year.

Just for further information i have access to a cycle which can be used to goto work. This would be a 2.2 mile journey each way.

Hey

This is something obviously new since last time i was doing my application. Is it a case of everyone that passes selection at ADSC for the paras will do this course before depot?

Thanks,
Mike

Basically before where i lived was pretty much flat and i managed 1.5 mile run in sub 9 minutes. It came to selection and got 9m 46...

I never thought of doing it that way gunner. Training was my life though mate as you stated. Did so much research into foods aswell as training and asking very competent people to give me ideas for my training. The only issue i really had was maybe i didn't eat enough and the other was shift work ma...
