Joining 4 PARA while at uni would be a great idea if you had more time. If you finish your studies next year and intend on joining Royal regular then you wont get all that much from either 4 PARA or the RMR in that space of time. The chances are you wouldn't even have time to finish recruit training...

Well Sneaky, there is a slight problem with your suggestion. Yes it would be a great idea to buy up all of the drug crops, and put them to good use. Here's a bit of a dillema I thought about the other day... Am I right in thinking that the PRA requires you to be parachute qualified for membership? If so then do they allow these new Toms, who have already been on operations in PARA battalions but not yet gained their wings, to join?

I went back to the TA so I could do a bit more galavanting around the world, but forgot how much I enjoyed playing soldiers, so I'm going to apply (again) for the regs this year!
