Its going to look really bad unfortunatley, but how the general public expect young men who are trained to fight in the worst places the world can offer, and then not expect this kind of thing to happen is beyond me. Clearly this incedent went a little far maybe but its nout to do with anyone else a...

One thing those buckets are NOT for is hiding your locker key in when you go for phys. I did this for a while, thinking myself very clever for saving a few valuable minutes each time i got back from the gym (all other keys were put in one troop bucket that went to the gym too and it took a while to ...

GC, Possibly a good idea to delay your PRMC untill your fully up to scratch, but definately not a good idea to post a "how do i improve my press ups" thread on the MFAT site. Go on the site though and use the "search" button on the top left. There is loads and loads of information on there about the...

Doc, I totally agree with you, and to be honest no matter how much you read or think you might have found out about training at CTC it can,t for one second give you an idea of what it is really like. Like i said, i did personally read alot of books, thinking naively that i might gain a few tips, but...

Come on guys, i know its pretty hilarious to you guys who have been there and done it, but to people who have no idea other than they want to join, it probably answers alot of things they dont know. I read everything i could find when i was in the process of joining, and a "CD"?? well i,d have wet m...

Just to say that the pains in my knees and back seem to have cleared up just about, happy about that, but still not too sure what caused it all of a sudden. Guess it could have been just getting used to the new trainers. Anyway cheers Doc and Bullet sponge for the advice, hopefully its all cleared u...

Winnie, I think its the "affairs folder" you are thinking of.Like you said its a log of all the things you learn during training. I still have mine, and have added quite a bit since with the RMR. The better your log is the better it will serve you in the future, i remember a mate of mine who went do...

I can back up what winnie says too guys. Its the easy option to leave and ive regretted it nearly every day. Just stick with it and crack on, take each day or half day as it comes. I guarantee you,d end up as a rejoin if you leave anyway, and if not you,ll always wonder "what if?".

good luck people,

I am shocked about that, 12 failing the three miler is pretty poor. Surely that was just a very bad PRMC course? When i did my first PRMC, i think only one dropped out, and myself and one other came in just behind the others (it was the old format back then though, with the three miler on the second...

although you may have lost some fitness im sure because of your training and level of fitness before hand you will be able to regain this lost fitness much quicker than say getting to that level from scratch.Hopefully someone can clear this up for you for sure, but i would be very surprised if all y...
