Pathfinders are normal soldiers with a fair bit of service, they will be parachuted in before the main drop. Now it could Hi level drop and you then have glide to the DZ and set the radios and check out the DZ to make sure it is safe, or you can be dropped in and open your chute at a very low level ...

As a National Serviceman in the 50's the only place that was half good was when we where posted to RAF Station Abingdon for our Para training. The rest of the time it was wooden huts, Tents, or sleeping rough in the open which we did most of the time as we were always out on patrol. Still they did n...
