About operational tours, regiments have for example a year on and a year off e.g. the Mercian regiment they do 6-7 months for this year, have a year off then repeat.

Alright mate, i tried using redbull to enhance training performace..dont know about the effects it has on other peoples body but it didn't help me much with my training made me ; dehydrated, and after a 6mile run gave me a headache. What i would recommend and it does work is nutriments http://dedica...

I was told they are allowed so many intakes within the year because the Royal Engineers are so popular, the next intake for driver op would be next march for me. I was told by the carreers office, dont take my word for it though query about it more.

Run time

Just started training again and doing the mile and a half in 9mins 50. The royal marines from my local careers office was having a fitness test at my local park while i was on my run this morning at the forest park nottingham, so i volunteer to join in, met an amazingly fit guy compare to me who did...

Now you see why I'm having serious doubts about the Pioneers, everyone seriously put me off .

The careers office is now pushing me towards the Royal Engineers driver/ops. (I got told a majority of the driver/ops from the RE go to 9 Parachute regiment if they complete the training)

The job you get after your military career in entirely up to you, depending what qualications you gain within the military or had before e.g. NVQ'S, GCSE'S or equivs, so the job you get after is not neccecaryly going to be a security job or being redundant.

In my training programme I do exactly what it says on the Royal Marine website, 3x's max with an extra push at the end, I'm currently doing 59 before my left arm gives in.



Just a friendly tip dont overtrain and develop an injuiry before your RT.
