Retrading

To whom this may concern. I am currently in the Royal Air Force and am wanting to retrade. I am in search for information pertaining to numbers for intakes during this year and the process. I understand PSF is a good option however I am a long way from home at the moment. If anyone in any AFCO or Pe...

Int Corps

I am currently serving in the armed forces and am wanting to re-muster to the Int Corps. I will not bore anyone with the usual questions but if there are people out there wishing to give me some first hand information on the life and the general job role, it would be much appreciated. An ideal oppor...

Rwanda

What an profound subject to talk about JOJO. I have been reading the book on the genocide in Rwanda by General Dallaire. I must admit that I give him so much credit as a leader in what he was put through and what he achieved. As most of the others have commented on, the Hutsi's were quite adamant th...

Dawnie is right. Your pay will increment each year you have been in the Air Force. You are not required to take any tests but you will not advance if you are clearly showing signs of incompetance in your job. This should go without saying. YOu can advance/ progress faster up the pay range if ou have...

I do not think any of us should speculate what unit he was from. SAS or not, this should not be disclosed. He did a bloody good job in Basra and so did his colleagues. We should praise them all for that. May all the others be as brave as him.

RIP

The spokesman said there had been “no marked increase in the number of aircrew applying to leave the RAF in the wake of the Nimrod crash”. Exactly! The fuel pipes fracturing! What an unfounded comment just like the other rubbish printed out. I would have had more faith in the Times using this source...

rawli: My comment was to relating to units more substational than that. Its like saying the RAF are everywhere in the world as we have consulates, embassy and 'other' staff. Does that answer my question or statement?!

Hmmm, being a speacilaity of mine, I am now speachless. I am not sure on the full weight of your rifle + misc kit. I am sure however that they will be put into a different hold and the weight will be separate to your normal luggage. I will go on what the last post says about taking things. Any hobby...

I wish to express my condolences to the 12 RAF aircrew and 2 army personnel and indeed the small community in Kinloss and to all the families and serving airmen. It is a sombre day for all those connected with the squadron, it will certainly be a sombre day going into work today.

Rest In Peace

I understand that, I was also looking at the fact that the Predator has hellfires and the Harriers have CRV-7's. It is this missing front line link that we are missing and need to catch up in to defeat the taliban.
Get in the mighty hunter, Swift and sure!!
