oh my god I ran a 9:40! I think I'm over training, lately my times have been getting higher and higher... But I can't wait to run this again and smash it I did a 9:06 this morning, I could taste blood when I finished. My lungs were dying... But I still think I can do better by at least 15 seconds

Most shin splints are caused by something called overpronation... basically you're running with your ankles sort of bent inwards and what's happening is the shock isn't being fully absorbed by your legs, it's just being done on the inside part. I think I am doing that myself. The mind is willing to do as much as possible but sometimes you need to rest up and take days off.

Yeah, you guys are absolutely right. There's nothing I can do until I get that letter, which I found out today has just been sent from the medical center over to my careers office which then has to be sent to me. damn this postal strike. it looks like I will have to wait out this week.
