I've had hearing tests nearly every year for the last 25 yrs, when I ever ended up in a room doing a hearing test and noise was preventing me hearing the actual test then I would terminate the test and speak to the Medic or MO. Its just not acceptable if your career depends on it. here here to that...

I think you might find that ON Entry you had to have 20/20 vision unaided, however once you commenced Flying training you could, if your eyesight changed be fitted for glasses. I really don`t know yet till i get a report and send it back. It was the general list of things that if you have you cant get into the armed services but next to laser surgery it says in the previous 12 months. It might be the case that if you have had it you cant get into aircrew but you could go ...

From what you have said the Nurse should not have carried out the hearing test in those conditions, did you mention this to the MO at the time? It may be worthwhile having a chat with the practise manager about it and even if your test cannot be re-taken then at least it may stop some others going ...

Trouble is, I'm a linguist, so I could only tell you about the training up to streaming, and then what some of my mates' lives are like... For instance, the other 2 girls from my course who are now Chinook loadies seem to be always in the desert... ah so you spend your days in a cool Nimrod R1 list...
