Oh right cheers mate! It would be great if you can post back in here what he says tomorrow. Any information will be a great help, to me and anybody else who's interested in MP in these forums. Sounds like you have many strings on your own bow LB and you make a good point about the regiment and the s...

RAF Police

I was just wondering if there is anyone that's browsing this forum who is like me interested in joining the RAF Police. I was originally set on becoming a Reg Gunner like the majority of people seem to be on here. I had applied down at AFCO back in April and had my AST booked but broke my foot a few...

Yeah i'm sure I will find something to keep me busy but you always end up thinking about it again and the frustration kicks in big time. I'm at my lowest today though because i've found out it will take around 3 months to heal so I called AFCO and told them so they've cancelled my AST and told me th...

I hurt it when I was running, there is a small stile included in my running route and when I ran over like I usually do I landed awkwardly on the side of my foot and it bent inwards. It hurts down the side of my foot just below my smallest toe. I visited the hospital today and it turns out I have br...

Foot sprains/other injuries

I'm close to sinking into a state of depression as a few days after I get my AST date, I think I have sprained my right foot and i'm having to visit the doctor today to find out what i've done and will probably get sent for x-ray. Anybody ever had a foot sprain and know how long it will be before i'...

Well maths and electrical questions aren't my strong suit but will get some of them right and rest of the test should provide me with enough right answers to pass for gunner.

Well i've handed the application form in now and got my AST on 19th May so finally started the process. I asked the corporal at the AFCO about the swimming test and he said the only way you fail it is if you refuse to get in the water and that it wasn't a pass or fail test so that was kind of reassu...

Living Off Base

Quick question really. I'm hoping to join the RAF Regiment and I was just wondering whether or not it will be possible to live off the base once I get posted to whatever squadron I am posted to. I thought it was but I just wanted to get some clarification.

I think the reason I don't eat enough is also because it's hassle making the decent food and i'm also a bit of a scrooge with the sterling so don't want to be shelling out more than I need to for extra nosh. Better loosen the old purse strings, just hope that it's beneficial.

No problem Beast. Yeah well if you carry on doing what you're doing then you have the best of both worlds in a way. But working with the Paras and being a Para is two different kettles of fish as you know so just do what the old heart tells you.

Cheers beast. Yeah this place is a revelation. Felt compelled to donate to the cause too due to the help i've received. Maybe every member should donate a quid and then that target would be blown out of the water.
