Hello Bees, That training will work your CV and leg/back strength, and endurance, but in preparation for CTC you really don't need to be doing much of that. Wouldn't hurt to do it once a week though. Don't carry heavy loads yet. Running is at least 90% of your life during training. Train for it wit...

Bees, concentrate on lots of light training (running cycling swimming). If you really are going to carry weight, do it carefully and make sure you don't over do it... The weights we carried vary, Speedmarch's you carry Fighting order and wpn (about 30lb) Load carry used to be a 12 miler with your b...

Thanks fella's,

Got a longback off ebay for £18, put a load of water in it and packed it out with a quilt.

I'll crack on with that.

What sort of distance? its going to be at least 6 months before i'm in so i thought it might pay to get used to carrying weight.

Like that is it, whilst I find some more hairs for people to split perhaps someone of experience could give me some advice on how to improve my ability to carry PLCE over distance?

Are they bothered about arms locking straight out at PRAC , or are they content with just most of the way up? upper arms at this sort of angle " / " Do em properly mate, straight arms! you dont want to be seen cutting corners its not a good look. Also it makes you fitter doing them proper...

heres a cheeky one to chuck in every now and then into your press up routine when you find your stagnating. start with a set of 25 rest 30seconds to 1 minute - then do a set of 24, rest again. another set of 23, then 22,21 and so on and so forth till you get down to 1 rep. its quite intense first t...
