So am I.

Passed the medical for recruit entry but the AFCO told me that my CP (colour perception) score was too low to be accepted as an officer.

Still alive. :D Can't afford to join the Marines anymore. Attempted to join as an officer but was told by the AFCO that being colourblind would almost certainly prevent from joining as anything but a standard recruit. Can't afford to take such a huge drop in pay unfortunately. I'm still working for ...

The usual one is, "They're part of the Army aren't they." Then you point out that they're wrong and that there's a clue in the name as to which service they are attached to and you get, "So what, they're soldiers who protect ships?" Mind you the amount of people who think that th...

A load of tosh as far as I'm concerned... Couldn't agree more. I think the MOD are being a bit stone-age with this one, revision of rules needed me thinks. I understand the reasoning behind it but I can't imagine in this day and age that it is a problem. They don't bin soldiers who fail SF selectio...

What they are getting at is once you have passed out, then go Corps commision and subsequently fail the YO's course you are binned from the Corps, and can not go back to being a Marine, just a gopping Civie. Whilst I have no doubt that you are correct (given your position) I cannot help but think w...

The problem is not technology, it's reliability and, more importantly, cost. We won't see these in use in our lifetime. I strongly disagree with you on that. 20 years ago no one thought that cellphones would be a feasible item to have for everyone, they didn't think the internet had any personal us...

Some American and Japanese companies have developed exoskeletons that are full body suits (similar looking to the guy in Halo). They're fully bulletproof, resistant to most small explosions, run at over 50mph and for very long periods, etc. etc. The problem is not technology, it's reliability and, m...

ADDiction: My post was not mean to sound sarcastic, unfortunately the biggest drawback of the written word is that the tone is determined by the reader and not the author. I do not believe my post was pointless, this is a public forum and I am simply voicing my opinion in response to yours, as are y...

Dangermouse, how can you defend McClaren? The formation, the line-up, the lack of urgency, the confused manner in which England consistently play, all stem from McClaren. How can you say this? Do you have access to England training, team meetings and the dressing room before the game at half time? ...

You already achieved what the majority of the population wouldn't fit enough, brave enough or determined enough to do by getting yourself down there. A good friend of mine who used to come on here opted out after 22 weeks as well and he hasn't regretted it. It's not for everyone and at least you can...

What Dave said. Utterly pointless now you've found this site.

I bought it a few a years ago so if I can find it I'll try and find a way of posting it up here for everyone. Luckily no need to worry about copyright law as almost all of the H2B products are just lifted from other sources anyway.

PMSL!!!

On a serious note...never. There have always been and will always be terrorists and thus there will always be a war against it, whether they call it that or not.

Ridiculous new laws aren't helping either.
