Thanks

Enjoyed the day, thanks to all those marsalling the event, it was extremely well organised. As this was my first Paras10 it was more of a recce and I underestimated the hills, especially the longer one. Still my stopwatch said 2hr 2mins and 30 seconds, so well pleased with my first effort. Looking f...

What about the umbrella

I havent worked out how to tab one handed while holding the umbrella!

All joking aside, my only concern was shredding my feet if the boots filled up in the early miles.

Looking forward to the event - hopefully keeping up with the pacemaker.

Is it worth wearing gaiters or is the extra weight on the feet more of a burden?

4 Para Recruit Fitness Programme

El Prez posted a program a while ago - 16 weeks of progressive development. Fortnightly a tab was thrown in 4 miles up to 10. What was not mentioned was any idea of weight carried for this. Any ideas ? Also I can no longer find the posting. Note - the 2 mile best effort with 45lb bergen, boots and h...

Giving Paras 10 a go this Sept

Hi, I'm also 44 and giving the Para 10 a go. Fitness trashed in 2008 due to 3 month chest infection and work pressures, so looking forward to 2009 fitness buildup. Spent previous years running and messing about every few weeks with bergen work. End 2008 and now, have been using a 4 mile hilly route ...
