Re: knee

You had the cartilage "removed"? That sounds a bit fishy so i'd make sure you know exactly what you had done before you go about getting answers... at the end of the day you dont want the right answer to the wrong question! If you tore the cartilage and had surgery to correct it, that does...

Re: GRRRRRRR!!!

One of the big problems with cyclist is that they do not understand about large vehicles turning left. When a large Vehicle turns left it normally moves out to wards the centre of the road to allow for the turn, a cyclist seems to think this gives him room to go up the inside of the vehicle and the...

Re: Ankle support

Hi ofens - delayed reply so don't know if its still relevant to you. Ankle support is really common, particularly in sport. If im going to support someones ankle short term I use tape but there are various long term supports you can buy as taping an ankle might be ok for a match but isn't realistic ...

hi, I've no idea about whether its a bar to entry or not so it'd be best to ask a careers office or someone else on here might be able to help. As for healing times, typically a break of the wrist/hand would take around 6-8 weeks to heal but it sounds like you've done a pretty good job of it so you ...

Re: Hunter, Being discharged, Recurring injury

Hi all, (I would just add that the Hunter rehab staff - PTIs and physios - are really good and loads of lads get fixed and out of Hunter all the time.) Hi, Sorry I can't offer any advice as I don't know but you mentioned the physios. I'm applying to do a postgraduate in physio when I finish my hono...

Well in, just make sure you keep yourself motivated when you start to see a reduction in your improvements. You said yourself you've noticed a big improvement but it won't always be that way once you've been training for a while. Improvements will become more gradual and it's easy to lose heart if y...

My dad was in the Army (RCT), and he'd tell me stories about the Marines, and ever since then I knew thats what I wanted to do. The only problem for me was I had Ceoliac Disease (diagnosed at 2) which made me medically unfit to ever serve. Well, here I am now, at the ripe age of 30 medical science ...

what made me laugh was when he said something along the lines of "i experienced it myself when one cpl grabbed me and shook me"... what an absolute animal that cpl is. In my opinion, the BBC thought of the idea and saw the headlines of exposing a massive amount of bullying within the army ...

According to papers up here, the actual number of fans was nearer 175,000. Thats with another 28,000 or so in Ibrox watching a big screen. Another mate of mine who works in city centre said when he was walking to the office at 8am there were fans who were finishing 3ltr bottles of cider already. Doe...

Rangers in Manchester

What a total disgrace, im embarrassed. I wasn't there, but as my mates are all Rangers fans I was going to go with them for a pi*s up but couldn't. Everyones going to have their opinions but heres mine. It was a tiny minority that were causing trouble (fair enough it was quite a lot of trouble). My ...

Keep the head up mate, if you do get rejected you aren't the first and you certainly won't be the last to be declared medically unfit. I know it feels like you've been sh*t on but you can't sit and dwell on it forever. I know how you feel because 3 years ago I was you.

I did the this course Stokey mate, finished it in 2005. I gained a 'triple distinction' grade, which I think equates to 360 UCAS points (not too sure); anyway I got the best grade I could achieve and still got rejected from 6 universities to study Physiotherapy. So I think a lot can be said about w...
