Any recruits at CTC at the moment?

Before I start, this query may be against OPSEC and/or PERSEC and if it is MODS please delete it. Cheers.

I'm a rubber dagger looking to get myself on an FFX with a regular troop at Lympstone so I can be mobilised for H9. Is there any recruits on here at that stage of training, or anybody in the ...

Aye, ditto the above post. I did RMR recruit training in my first year and I'm glad I did. My grades did suffer slightly but I did enough to get into the next year and now I can get my head down totally and get my degree out the way. Although, the memories of turning up for a Monday morning 0900 ...

I'm not trying to defend anybody on Arrse because, as you say, there are some nobbers on there - but if your not getting paid then I think you've got every right to complain and drip.

True enough eagleeye, if we had got lost on a night navex like that (last week) and just got our swedes down then we'd still be running up and down a honking feature in respirators with our rifles above our heads.

Correct me If I'm wrong on this, but, is there not usually a lost procedure to ...

Ref The Tarzan/Assault Course
The 3 minute(ish) record you see is for the tarzan course itself(no bottomfield). I believe the record for the Tarzan/Assault course(taking in bottomfield) is something ridiculous like 7:50 or something :o Oh and I think they are actually in full kit:o

Maybe someone ...

I've never experienced OTC training myself but, from what I've heard, it's a great organisation to obtain bags of leadership experience. However, if your just entering uni theres tons of other places where you can gain leadership experience and general life experience that will stand you in ...

So did you find out the dates then?

I'm assuming the next selection will be round the corner: holding troop has been up and running for some time now.

Not sure of the exact dates Nade but I do know theres been a holding troop up and running for some time now so there may be a selection just round the corner. I think the unit's recently started two intakes a year so selection weekends are 6 months apart.

Best giving the unit a phone to find out.

Just out of curiosity...

....I spent a short amount of time at CTC recently and regularly spotted(what I'm assuming was) a rugby team bimbling around in 3 ranks. I've heard of sports teams doing teamwork training and whatnot down at CTC - anybody know what they were up to??
