Decided to join as a medic

Hey guys,

I changed my mind, I've decided that I'll join as a medic in the Army instead of a nurse. Any medics here? Doc, you're one, right? If you could tell me about it, that'd be great.

Also, what do you guys think? My family is Iraqi, but I've lived in the UK for my whole life. Will I be safe?

I'm going to study it at University next year. I can't wait.

I've still got the entire process before though, I've not taken any tests, etc. I've had one interview.

What do you do?

The Navy sucks.

I'm kidding.

But it seems that Anna has a fanclub here. So do we have any other nurses-to-be here? Or nurses?

It's a shame that has happenned Moose. I agree with you in many ways. If a person truely despises the culture of a country there is very little reaosn they should remain there. Perhaps your father should go back to Iraq. His skills as a haematologist i imagine would be in great demand back there. I...

My dad managed to leave Iraq to study abroad. He's a consultant haematologist now, earning £200,000+, he should be so grateful.

Sick of this anti-western-ness at home...

Hey, For those who don't know, my family's from Iraq, I'm not though, I was born in Sheffield. It's tough, because all the time I'm hearing my parents about how U.K. soldiers are doing this, U.K. soldiers are doing that, etc, and they're so blind they decide to generalise against the entire Br...

My apologies Nickosx I should have provided the required information in this thread.

Thank you.

ndepth explanation of the physical requirements?

Hi,

I'm hoping to take my Medical/Physical in Feb/March/April next year. Can anyone explain what I should work on the most (and how) to be fit for it? I weigh about 11 stones, I'm not fat, but I have some fat that I'd like to lose (and it's going), but what does the Physical test cover?

Thanks

You're both right.

I'm going to continue it. Thanks!

I want to be a nurse and I'm not so fond of the Navy, to be honest.

Tough decision to make..

I retook my first year of my A Levels to get bette...

Haha, thanks for the warm welcome! My last name is Moosa, and I needed a military-esq username, and I came up with Major Moosa... funny-sounding by itself I thought I could do better that, and thus Major Moose was born. So Doc, are you a Doctor? Medic? Nurse? Are the nurses here part of the Queen Al...

Greetings

Hi there, I'm 18 years old, half way through Sixth Form (going into Year 14 next year). I'm hoping to join the Army as a nurse. I was considering quitting Sixth Form and dedicating a year to intense training to prepare myself for basic training. I'm not in bad shape, and I realise I don't have to be...
