Can I just ask a question, why URNU and not OTC? OTC is far more relevant to a RM officer. Just because URNU is part of the Navy dont think it will be the most helpful. As I said im just curious 8)

Im hopefully going on my RFCC in July and I can tell you it is very hard to tie both a full time job, girlfriend(s), friends and a reservist unit all together, but by no means impossible. Ever heard of the term burning the candle at both ends? You should expect no less if you are to commit properly!

Dwarfy, The specialist has refered me to the physio for my leg as I still cant lift it up. With my arm he basically said it depends on how long it takes the bone to heal, bit of an obvious answer but thats what he said. Once I can fully stretch my arm out (possibly another week) then I can start doi...

jsg, if I were you I wouldnt train through the pain, it can only get worse if you do that. Try a different type of training like cycling as it may put less strain on your injury. I usually get shin splints so do a lot of cycling. Also if I were you I'd get to the RMR unit pronto as the staff there a...

Hi mate, did HT last night.. was quite hard! The PTI said it was only a 'light' session but the four of us at Henley were certainly hanging. As it was the first session it was mainly and introduction to press ups, burpies, sit ups and chin ups with sprints and jogs thrown in. At Henely were going to...

So Im just running for say 30 mins and dont check what sort of distance im covering. Plus doing circuts of press ups...

Good on you, there were guys there who were 35 at Henley. Whats your training programme like at the moment? I have only started mine last week as I have been travelling for the past month. My first goal was to lose a stone when I got back from travelling. I picked up a virus in Africa and crapped ou...

There are quite a few posts on holding troop, iv been to a few (last year) they are pretty hard, mainly short curcuts. If you dig out blind in HT and can prove your worth you ...
