Alright lads, i have a little knowledge of the 4 para fitness. Firstly, at the moment forget tabbing. IF your serious about joining they will build you up gradually for tabbing. dont start early by yourself otherwise you wont know the basics like correct packing of your bergan and which straps to pu...

This is a friendly topic whilst having a bit of banter with other regiments and in comes this nob and d...

Cheers for that extra info Sandy. Its seems a little odd though because they did say that it was 1 hour 50 mins now particularly because of T.A joining up with regs so often that they want same standard. But, i obviously take your word for it considering your the bloke who takes them for it. They al...

yeah seriously considering joining 4 para. They explained in detail what you said: 3 month build up, 6 month tour, then chill out period upon return. Most likely to be about 10 month in total. Some commanding officers are strict on 6 month tours, some are flexable and allow 3 month tours. But even w...

Paramarine, I dont think you quite understand what im saying. I completly understand what you saying about how the body works and V02 max and all that stuff, including fast and slow twitch muscles etc etc. What i was trying to say was, it dont matter how fit the body is the mental fitness can go way...

Surely its possible to fail a mile and a half run yourself and give advice to others on how to pass it. I could not run a marathon at the moment but i have the knowledge to give to others to best prepare them and get them fit enough to partake in one. This guy never said he knew how to get someone t...

im sorry if i come across pedantic as i did not mean to be. But, i just hate it when people give others needless crap without just cause. If you aint got something positive or constructive to say is it really worth giving abuse instead. I can have a laugh and joke with the best of them, at work i gi...

I dont know why everyone is giving this guy a hard time. I was infantry 10 years ago and my attitude has always been- if you want it bad enough and you work hard for it you will eventually get there, some times it will take longer than you think, or want, but if you prepare yourself mentally thats h...

Parachute Training School R.A.F Brize Norton
Just wondering if anyone out there had recently ( within the last 2 years ) completed the above course.
If so what was it like, how did they find the course, was anyone quite nervous about doing the jumps and basically did it meet any expectations you had.
Any info would be great.
Cheers Blokes
